Clinical Supervision in Steyning, West Sussex & Online
I offer a supportive, collaborative and reflective space for counsellors to explore their clinical work, develop their professional confidence and deepen their understanding of themselves and their practice.
My approach to supervision is integrative, drawing on different theoretical perspectives while recognising that each supervisee brings their own experiences, strengths and ways of working.
Supervision is an opportunity not only to reflect on challenges, but also to celebrate growth, explore curiosity and develop as a practitioner.
My approach to supervision
I believe that effective supervision is built on a relationship of trust, openness and mutual respect. My aim is to create a space where you feel comfortable exploring your clinical work, including the moments of uncertainty, challenge and self-doubt that are a natural part of being a therapist.
My approach draws on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), allowing us to explore different aspects of your work, including your relationships with clients, therapeutic interventions, ethical considerations and your own responses as a practitioner.
I see supervision as a collaborative process rather than something that is done to you. Alongside ensuring safe and ethical practice, I value curiosity, reflection, professional development and recognising the things that are going well.
About me as a supervisor
I bring over 20 years of experience in mental health nursing, alongside my work as an integrative counsellor and EMDR therapist.
I hold a First Class Honours degree in Mental Health Nursing and a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a registered mental health nurse with the NMC.
Throughout my career, I have also provided supervision and facilitated reflective practice within voluntary sector mental health services and with colleagues working in primary care. These experiences have given me an appreciation of the importance of creating a supportive space where practitioners can reflect on their work, navigate challenges and develop their professional confidence.
I am currently completing my CPCAB Level 6 qualification in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision, with expected completion in February 2027.
During my training, I offer clinical supervision at a reduced fee of £15 per session.
My experience across NHS mental health services, the voluntary sector, primary care and private therapeutic practice informs my approach, bringing together clinical knowledge, ethical awareness and a genuine interest in supporting the development of other practitioners.
